Once In Cape Town Welcome Pack
This is a home for budget travellers. After checking and walking around my home for the next 3 days, I just wanted to get on my social media accounts to tell everyone about this amazing place I would be staying in.

Once in Cape Town reminded me why I love doing what I do and why I do what I love. Also, my true purpose in Cape Town and my mission to promote budget African travel and lifestyle.

The beautiful thing about staying at Once is you will never feel like a tourist or a stranger. There is a community of travellers from all over the world.

There is a fun filled timetable with all the activities that aims to get everyone involved and discovering Cape Town. Also these activities promote socializing.

On Friday night we had a dress up braai party with over 30 backpackers making an appearance, sharing food and drinks. Everyone was from a different corner of the world, spoke a different language with a different cultural background, but around that dinner table we were all family. A family of travellers sharing a meal and travel stories.

Is that a smurfette with minnie mouse?

When traveling, it is very important to know you are not alone. Especially if you are in a foreign country. This braai party was the perfect way to get all the wanderers united.

What I got from Once In Cape Town:
·         This place revived my love for knitting. They have a knitting corner called the “Stitch and Bitch”. Whatever you knit gets sewn together and a blankie is made to donate to charity. I did not read a single book while at Once I Cape Town because I was too busy “stitching and bitching”.
·         Reignited my love for my work.
·         Reminded me of my greatness. The true power I possess within.
·         Introduced to a whole new world of travelers.

Finding Ugandan beer from the source - Nile Special Lager. A 6 day itinerary

November 2019 was the beginning of Africa through beer out of South Africa. Together with SAB World of Beer we ran a competition to encourage South Africans to visit Africas only beer museum in Newtown Johannesburg. The winners got a chance to travel to Uganda with me as their guide discovering the beers in Uganda from the source of the Nile.  I have a 6-day itinerary for your adventures in East Africas adventure capital. The itinerary applies for both affordable and luxury travel.  ***Please note that these amounts shared are merely an estimate and guidelines towards the cost of your travels. The southern part of the country includes a substantial part of lake Victoria which the country shares with Kenya and Tanzania. The country lies in within the Nile basin and has a generally modified equatorial climate. View this post on Instagram Country #35 I wont lie, on landing in #Uganda I cried. Exploring Lagos - On a budget

So many times I have tried to find the words to explain the city of Lagos to someone and so many times words fail me. This is not a city you can try to describe, but it definitely a city you have to visit. Good day Lagos, how do you do?!? I miss you. Love always: Onyekachi (This is my Nigerian name meaning: Who's greater than God?) #BreakingBorders #Thesolowanderer A post shared by Katchie Nzama (@thesolowandera) on Mar 22, 2018 at 2:28am PDT I can best describe my relationship with Lagos as one of a person in an abusive relationship. I arrived in Lagos after 4 months of the toughest travels across West Africa, within a week I was bedridden with Malaria and I was out of action for 2 weeks popping horse tranquilizer sized pills and capsules (My doctors were amazing but I will never forgive them for expecting me to swallow those vile things). Lagos found me at a stage of my travels were I was broken and just ready to break down and cry.  Not far...
